Undo Post
What is Undo Post?
Undo post is a X Premium feature that gives you the option to retract a post after you send it, but before it’s visible to others on X. It’s not an edit button, but a chance to preview and revise your post before it’s posted for the world to see. Once the Undo period is over, the post is viewable to your followers and you can either leave it or delete it, like you normally would on X.
Tapping Undo sends you back to the post composer where you can make changes before posting the post, or deciding not to post at all. You can also select Send now to skip the Undo post option and post your post immediately.
You can turn Undo post settings on for all or some of the different types of posts including Original posts, Quote posts, threads, and replies.
When active, Undo post displays a countdown of the time left until your default 30-second post Undo period expires, and your post appears on X. Shorten or lengthen the expiration window to 5, 10, 20 or 60 seconds under the X Premium feature settings menu.
If you turn off Undo post, you won’t see the Undo post prompt.

Is Undo post an edit button?
Undo post is not an edit button. Undo post allows you to pull back and revise posts that haven’t been posted on X for the world to see yet. Once the Undo period is over, the post is viewable to the public and you can either leave it or delete it, just as you normally would on X. Posts that are already viewable to the public can’t be edited.
Can I undo any post?
You’ll have the option to activate Undo post for Original posts, reposts, threads, and replies before they are viewable to everyone. Leave your Undo post settings on for all or some of the different types of posts.
I need help with Undo post.
First, make sure you have the Undo post setting turned on. Eligible posts will show an Undo option after you send the post.
Select Undo before the post Undo period expires. This sends you back to the composer where you can edit or delete your post or save it as a draft.
You can always choose to shorten the Undo post period or skip the Undo option and post your post immediately by selecting Send Now.
Where can I access Undo post?
You’ll have access to this feature from a notification after you compose a post, and from the Home timeline during your Undo post period.
Why can’t I see the option to Undo a post?
X Premium defaults to a 30-second post Undo period, that’s managed and customized from your X Premium feature settings menu. If you choose to turn it off, you won’t see the Undo post prompt.
How do I undo my post after the notification disappears?
After you send a post, if you're still in your Undo post window, you can undo or edit the post you sent from the home timeline or from your profile page.
Why didn't my post send right away?
As an active X Premium subscriber, you won’t find a post you compose in your Home timeline right away because your features include an Undo post option that gives you a short window to edit your post before it becomes public. If you want to skip this intentional delay, you can turn off your Undo post feature in your X Premium settings, or tap Send Now to send immediately.
