How to connect third-party accounts to Periscope
How do I connect my Google account?
You can connect your Periscope account to your Google account for logging in and finding contacts on Periscope.
To connect your Google account to your Periscope account
- Log into your Periscope account on iOS.
- Go to your profile.
- Scroll down and select Connected Accounts.
- Tap Connect Google.
- Enter your email or phone and tap Next.
- Enter your Google password and tap Next.
- If you have login verification setup for your Google account, you’ll need to complete this before your account can be connected.
- You’ll be redirected back to the Periscope app and your Google account should be connected. Your Google account can only be associated with one Periscope account.
- Once you have connected your Google account, you will be asked if you would like to sync your Google contacts. If you agree to sync your contacts by pressing the Sync Contacts button and following the instructions in the Google modal, we will be able to suggest Periscope accounts to you that are in your Google contact book.
You can disconnect your Google account at any time by tapping on it under Connected Accounts and selecting Disconnect Google.
Privacy notes
When you choose to connect your Periscope account to your Google account, the Google authentication dialog screen specifies the Google account information that you authorize sharing with Twitter, including your email. Once your Google account is connected to your Periscope account, you can additionally choose to give us access to your Google contacts. If you choose to give us access to your Google contacts, you will begin receiving broadcast suggestions based on your Google contacts who are on Periscope. You won’t receive push notifications for these suggestions. If you logout of your Google Account on Periscope, you will need to reauthorize our access to your Google contacts when you log back in to continue receiving broadcast suggestions based on your Google contacts who are on Periscope.
If you disconnect your Google account from Periscope, we will delete the Google account information that you authorize sharing with Twitter, including your email. Please note that it may take up to a few weeks for this information to be fully removed from our systems.
How do I connect my Facebook account?
- Log into your Periscope account.
- Go to your profile.
- Scroll down and select Connected Accounts.
- Tap Connect Facebook.
- Log into your Facebook account.
- If you have the Facebook app installed on your device, you can log in with the app.
- If you don’t have the Facebook app installed, enter your email or phone and Facebook password.
- If you have login verification setup for your Facebook account, you’ll need to complete this before your account can be connected.
- If you have the Facebook app installed on your device, you can log in with the app.
- You’ll be redirected back to the Periscope app and your Facebook account should be connected. Your Facebook account can only be associated with one Periscope account.

Privacy notes
To control who sees your Periscope Broadcasts and username, go to your Facebook Application settings and click Edit for the Periscope app to restrict who can see your Periscope Broadcasts on your Facebook wall. Unless you have explicitly chosen to connect your Periscope account to your Facebook account, we will not cross-post to Facebook on your behalf, or display on Facebook your Periscope username, profile picture, or other profile information.

This information allows us to cross-post between Periscope and Facebook and may help us improve your Periscope experience, for example, with better suggestions and content on Periscope. Please note that it may take up to a few weeks for this information to be fully removed from our systems.
How can I connect my Twitter account to my Periscope account?
If you created your account with a phone number, Facebook account, or Google account, you can still connect your Periscope account to your Twitter account for logging in, adding new connections and sharing your broadcasts on Twitter.
To connect your Twitter account to your Periscope account
- Log into your Periscope account.
- Go to your profile.
- Scroll down and select Connected Accounts.
- Tap Connect Twitter.
- Log into your Twitter account.
- If you have the Twitter app installed on your device, you can log in with the app.
- If you don’t have the Twitter app installed, enter your email or phone and Twitter password.
- If you have login verification setup for your Twitter account, you’ll need to complete this before your account can be connected.
- If you have the Twitter app installed on your device, you can log in with the app.
- You’ll be redirected back to the Periscope app and your Twitter account should be connected.
You can disconnect your Twitter account at any time by tapping Disconnect Twitter below the Connected Accounts section.
Please note that your Twitter account can only be associated with one Periscope account.
